Physical Symptoms

Physical symptoms of anxiety can vary from individual to individual, but will generally include some of the following:-

Racing heart/palpitations

Shortness of breath

Trembling/shaking

Nausea and/or vomiting

Confusion

Difficulty in speaking/stammering

Blushing

Sweating

Light headedness

Jelly legs

The feeling of a churning stomach

Panic attacks

What is a Panic Attack?

A panic attack is the result of extreme anxiety. The symptoms include:-

A racing heart/palpitations

Breathing difficulties

Chest pains

Dizziness

Tingling/numbness in the arms and legs

A feeling of confusion

Fear of losing control or dying

Not everybody who experiences anxiety has panic attacks. It is possible to have Social Anxiety and not have panic attacks.
